What if I have my own inflatable Paddleboard?

The river is shallow, and I only recommended using an inflatable Paddleboard. Riverbound Paddleboard Sports will provide inflatable paddleboards and transport them to and from the river. I strongly encourage you to kick back, relax, and let us do the work for you. However, if you have your board, we can arrange a way to transport your board and pump. Please let me know when you pay in full.

What is a flotilla?

Lynann’s definition: A gathering of water crafts to float and have a good time.

How long is the Lower Salt River paddle?

It’s just over 13 miles. I plan for us to stop and meander so that it will be a full-day activity. See schedule. However, I believe it can be done top to bottom in just under 3 hours. I never have done this and thought it could be possible to do Sunday morning. We will discuss more as it gets closer.

Are leashes and PFDs required?

Yes, a PFD is required on the board and will be provided by Riverbound with leashes. I use a quick-release leash and belt PFD.  There is debate about using a leash on the river, but the water is moving fast, and I have only been grateful to have my leash on.  I would ask that you at least have a leash on the board.

What should I pack?

A water pack or reusable water bottle is a must!!
Sunscreen, hat, SPF shirt, bathing suit of your choice. The water will still be cool, but it will be nice and sunny and little to no shade. It is very rocky, and we will be getting off the boards; I recommend water shoes or flip-flops that can be tied down to the board. Snacks for the river are
recommended but not a must.

What is planned for Saturday night dinner?

I wanted to give you all a change to enjoy the house, pool, jacuzzi & and local area. There is a bbq and you are on your own to cook or go out. I’ll provide local places to eat. Also lots of fun short hikes near by and the sunset will be around 7 pm by this time of year.
